If getting a good night's sleep is now more elusive due to fictional noises and pictures, you could be struggling with exploding head syndrome or hallucinations. Both of these conditions are several of the principal factors behind sleep disruptions and it's time to find out more to fight these issues.

Information on hypnagogic hallucinations

Hypnagogic hallucinations are about fictional details or false perceptions an individual can easily observe or feel during sleep. This problem happens in the state between sleeping and waking. It's also common to feel it as an individual is just about ready to  drift off to sleep.

Various perceptions or sensations may accompany this hallucination. Many people state getting a very clear experience while encountering this state. Other people experience observing pictures comparable to a kaleidoscope. These individuals claim they were able to view and feel things in vivid and very clear Technicolor.

Numerous things can happen when a person encounters these hallucinations. Because this is the situation, different persons will really feel and / or get different encounters. The common issue, however, is that an individual's auditory, response, and kinetic sensory faculties are all existing within this stage.

Likely manifestations

Several, who feel it, wind up imagining they are falling. Once they enter into this impression, they can make jerking responses on their limbs. This bodily response takes place because the brain thinks it has to stop the fictional drop.

There are also circumstances where the hallucination is extremely similar to a swimming pool experience. People who encounter it think that they are drifting or going swimming on a large body of water.

In addition, there are instances when the sufferers hear clear or inaudible sounds. Several claim they are able to listen to actual words, while some could hardly understand them.

Reality blast on exploding head syndrome

Exploding head syndrome is a condition often linked to parasomnia. Parasomnia is a sleep disorder that could consist of activities like sleep walking, night terrors or myoclonic muscle spasms. Because this is a problem, it can cause sleeping interruption and an individual struggling with it will need support.

The problem takes place throughout  a certain period of sleep. Many people claim they feel it while still partialy alert and may simply be entering slumber. While this may be incorrectly recognized as mild to severe headaches, it's more to do with hearing loud crashing noises. There won't be any occurrences of soreness or any other agony.

Likely sensations and occurrences

Oftentimes, victims will notice a loud crash, ringing sounds, booming noises, or even a loud slamming. Individuals often vow they hear these noises from their own minds; therefore, the noise can be more noticable. For a few, the sounds come with light flashes. The envisioned light combined with noise can often be enough to have any person returning to a total state of wakefulness. This can occur anytime of the day or night just as a person is going to sleep.

Comparisons

Hypnagogic hallucinations and exploding head syndrome can both cause sleep disruptions. Exploding head is the condition that may cause total wakefulness. Many people could have no issue going back to sleep after encountering a jerking reaction, but individuals who noticed noises could have difficulties.

If you've encountered exploding head syndrome or hallucinations in rare instances, this may not be a cause for alarm yet. If, however, the occurrences come often, then doctor consultations are very important. Your doctor will give you necessary treatment and therapy. Leaving sleep problems with no treatment can result in other health problems.
